Pro bakeware for the home

 

Who doesn’t enjoy a tasty and shapely cake? But how often does all the anticipation turn to disappointment, when the cake doesn’t slip out of its mould quite as smoothly as expected, and the “shapeliness” gets left behind in the process? It’s a problem that ILAG has already addressed. And its answer is its ILAG PROFESSIONAL series of coatings. So far it’s only been available for professional baking moulds; but with the new ILAFLON Resist SP-1000, it should now be making its way into many a home kitchen, too.

 

Three key credentials

 

The newly-developed ILAFLON Resist SP-1000 is a two-layer ceramically reinforced system that is sprayed onto the baking moulds concerned. Careful preparation of the undercoat is a vital element in achieving the desired non-stick effect. And curing the coating at 300°C enables its key credentials to come to the fore: excellent non-stick quality, very good abrasion resistance and an attractive high-gloss finish.

 

All stress tests passed

 

Any new ILAG coating must successfully undergo a number of stress tests before it is given the coveted PROFESSIONAL product status. And 500 bakes in the ILAG test kitchen using standard cake mixes along with countless visits to the dishwasher in between all had no adverse effect on the new ILAFLON Resist SP-1000. The cake came away beautifully every time, with no crumbs and nothing left behind – even though the mould had not been greased or provided with any other separating agent prior to the baking process.
